March 3 - April 4, 2010

Meet the artists Saturday, March 6 from 3-7pm

2nd Thursday March 11 from 5-8pm

Francesca Creo

Like so many of us, Francesca Creo finds her spirit continually renewed by the limitless inspiration of nature.

Fortunate to be born into a family that valued the arts, she first painted in her in her father’s studio in Rome, Italy. That early exposure inspired a lifelong dedication to the arts and led her to training in the expressive therapies as well as a long and rewarding career working with young people.

In 2007, Ms. Creo rededicated herself to her painting and has been pursuing works on paper, working primarily in watercolors and printmaking in her studio in Fairfax, Virginia

Brian Maus

Brian is a founding member of Gallery West and is a multi-media artist. He received his Master of Fine Arts degree in sculpture and ceramics from George Washington University, Washington, D.C.

Primarily a wood sculptor, Brian's creativity includes furniture design, as well as individual pieces, which have been exhibited at art galleries in the Washngton Metro area and New York City. His work encompasses artistic creations of pure form with a strong sense of original design.

Rachel Estrada

Rachel mainly focuses on the pastel medium. Her style is classically based; she has studied with internationally acclaimed artist Daniel E. Greene, N.A., and Timothy J. Chambers. Her work is noted for its brilliant colors and dramatic poses, as she uses her passion for portraiture and her technique to capture the vibrancy and beauty of the human spirit.

Rachel also travels abroad for new inspiration and has painted numerous landscapes from her time in Israel, Ireland, and Greece.
